Give me an h, give me an i

Some days, ok, most days, I wonder if anybody reads this blog at all.

Itchy Feet has been up and about for over six years(!) now – in its earlier avtaar, it was a part of my main blog. But I see no signs that real people (as opposed to spam bots and sellers of miracle medicine) are actually reading this…

So here is the thing. If you are a reader of this blog – if you have been lurking quietly on these pages, if you have been reading my infrequent updates through rss feed, if you have been making travel plans based on anything you see here, if you have been leaving rare comments here… In short, if you have been gasping in silent admiration for all these years (heh!), now is the time to step forward and say hi. Drop in a comment or send a cheery wave – I would love to get to know you.

Bare feet and happy faces

  6. Hi,

I have been visiting your blog for a few months now. Came to know of it through Chitra’s blog. Plan to visit at least some of the wonderful places that you mention, sometime……….. Nice blog, good work!!

  7. Hi there!

Your blog is a fixture in my google reader. I don’t comment much because I’m just reading the stream, but your photos are wonderful. I would love to take a trip to any of these places someday, but it might not be for a few more years.

I do think, though, that your images of Buddhist and Hindu temples are definitely part of my inspiration to take a trip to Thailand. My husband and I are heading west next month, and I hope to get a few pictures almost as good as yours!

    Cheers!
    Kate

I’ve only just discovered your blog, but I’m leaving for India in 27 days (and counting!). I plan to do lots of reading before I go! I’m interested in photography as well, and I love your images. I’ll endeavour to leave some comments on posts that I read in the future 😉

  13. Hi!
I really like your travelog… and I do keep reading it silently … keep posting… travelogs like yours make people outside India like me… feel more longing to come back to the incredible (in literally every sense) country!

  14. Hey,

Been following your blog for the last 6 months.

I decided to go-ahead with my Sikkim trip after reading your blog. I went in December. Your blog is more informative and excellent photograph.

Looking forward to Srilanka tour report.

I wish you more travel in Twenty Ten 🙂

  15. Keep rolling, Charu. And keep engaging with your readers. I find it most satisfying replying to each comment as much as writing, both key to engagement.

  16. Hey Charu,…..I do visit your blog often….just am a little lazy about leaving comments ! Love your writing and pictures…..lage raho !!!

  17. thank you! I am glad I called out to you all 🙂 I usually try to respond to each of you separately but pardon me this once if I don’t manage it!

and thanks again- do keep dropping by!

  18. I actually saw this post a long time back on my reader but somehow missed commenting then.

And love your stories. Especially the one on food street, Bangalore. Need to try that one out for myself soon.

  19. Hi

First time here read a few entries and loved the images. As someone thrilled about travellign and photography could relate a lot to this space. I use a point and shoot digital camera as well. Came here after Chitra’s post about your blog… so yet another hi to you 🙂

    *smile*
    *wave*
This isn’t my first time, and I haven’t been a regular either here either, but it sure feels good to have dropped by and gone through your recent posts. Cheers, and keep up the interesting writing.

  21. Hi, *wave* 🙂

I’ve been lurking around for a while too, and jst mustered the courage to write something… This blog has been a vacation/ trip/ journey by itself… and a most fulfilling one… My aspirations to travel around India (someday) has been growing with every article you post here… Not jst India but around the world… Since i visited Sri Lanka recently, i completely was in synch with the post about Tea plantations and Nuweraliya. Its a pleasure to read your blog and please do keep writing always… It’s always an eye opener and for me, more of a motivator… makes me hope that i can someday travel the way i want… and make people see the world as beautiful as it is… through my eyes..

    Thank you,

  22. Just chanced upon you today! Funny you don’t have a followers option either…I would love to keep updating myself on whats happening!:)

  23. I ran into your blog accidentally and being a passionate traveler myself been following it ever since. In fact, it has inspired me start writing my own travelogues 🙂
I hope someday I’ll be able to write almost as well as you and go around as much as you have.

    Keep writing 🙂
