Another blog anniversary came and went, and as always, I missed it. This year, the tenth since I started this blog. When my friend Dina Mehta first urged me to begin blogging, I remember thinking, “But what do I have to say? Where will I go for things to write about all the time?” From there to one blog post, sometimes three a day didn’t take much time. And from one blog to three, didn’t take long either.
Even now, I find myself often replying to the question, “how do you know so and so?” with “oh, I first knew him/her through our blogs.” Ten years ago, there were fewer blogs, there was a sense of community and people actually visited blogs to read content (as opposed to reading feeds), which meant comments and conversations. Ah, well.
Wonderful friends, challenging discussions, easy entry into a freelance writing career – my blogs have given me all this and more. So, happy birthday, A Time To Reflect!
I moved cyber homes in this decade, and most recently to this space and lost a lot of regular readers. I also stopped blogging frequently here, with my travel blog and freelance writing taking up most of my writing juice. But I’m back. And I hope you will be back here more regularly too.
For now, start with my Best Of page to see what I have written over the last ten years. See you around more often.
Congratulations on a decade of blogging!
I have been blogging for 7 years, but not as copious as you.
Keep on blogging.
