  1. Abi, now for that irrelevant bit that has been bothering me from the ad – he fair guy says (to the dark one) – “mard hoke ladkiyon wali fairness cream?” – and NOT “mard hoke fairness cream?” – personal rights and choice and all that 🙁

bhupinder, 🙂 this one cracked me up… and glad I found your blog too…

  2. Capitalism is by far the most efficient system for distributing limiting resources. Capitalism is what gave us our medical breakthroughs and the ability to bioengineer better crops. It is how America was able to air lift food into Berlin and how most people in the developed world can have meat with every meal. It isn’t a system that comes easily to understand I’ll admit this but examine its basic simplicity (two or more parties agreeing to trade) and from billions of those interactions we see the most complex webs develop and all of them moved by the invisible hand to further the good of humanity in the long run.

Sure capitalism at one time gave us polluting factories because it is what the people demanded then. Capitalism currently is bringing us wind farms, biodegradable plastics, and fuel cell cars because that is what people demand now.
