It’s all about loving your status…

… as Karan Johar would say.

Turns out there is more to the whole status thingy on facebook than meets the eye. Even a year ago, people were wondering why anyone would be interested in reading blow by blow updates on one’s life in twitter. And now facebook has done a twitter. And what is it they say about bad publicity being better than no publicity?

So in all this, a blog like this was waiting to happen… I have to confess I have spent the better part of this morning going through the blog and giggling and furitively marking some for later use.

And then this fantastic post – Facebook’s Status Update as 21st-century literary form. Read all about the four types of status updates. And notice good old Bill feeling excited about the weekend. Go Bill!

Seriously when did we start taking so much interest in someone else’s life?

But this is what I always say – status is in the hands of the setter ~ old google saying

Update: While on twitter, here is a piece I wrote for The Women’s International Perspective.

  1. I’ve never got too interested in Facebook, even though I have an account and keep accepting invitations out of politeness. The same thing with Twitter, I find it so useless.
